Towpath Repair Near New Hope Landing Closes a Half-Mile Through May
Delaware Canal State Park diverts cyclists and runners to River Road for a short detour.
Pennsylvania DCNR crews are shoring up a washout on the towpath just north of the New Hope landing. The closure runs from the mule-barn access point to Bowman’s Hill Road — roughly half a mile.
Park rangers ask visitors not to bypass fencing; the bank is still saturated from April storms. The Canal Pride Walk on June 14 will use an alternate start point if work runs long; we will confirm in the Friday newsletter.
